Biography
The Vinyls are a skilled five piece band who deliver a fresh and energetic set of classic, old and current Rock, Pop, Soul, RNB, Electronica , Britpop, Reggae and Dance favourites.
The band are highly experienced and charismatic musicians with the professionalism and personality to make any event a success. They love performing as much as you will enjoy dancing to them. The band bring together many musical styles and a wealth of performance experience in venues large and small throughout the U.K. and Ireland. Having two Irishmen in the band (lead vocals and bass guitar) also means that folk tunes from the Emerald Isle are always on hand. Peter (lead vocals) can also perform a range of classical and operatic songs should you wish something slightly different.
As they raise the roof with pop, rock and dance favorites then lower the tempo with soulful ballads, their astounding lead vocals and full sound will give your guests a great night.
The band provide music for weddings, corporate events and other functions and can perform first dance requests if 8 weeks notice is given. The Vinyls can also provide a short Ceilidh set using pre-recorded backing tracks if requested and also call the dances to get everyone involved.
Whatever the size and nature of your wedding or function, the band will make your evening run as smoothly as possible, pausing when asked to do so and playing upbeat pop & chart music from an ipod playlist between their sets. Or if you prefer, you can even bring along some CDs or your own ipod or mp3 player and the band will play this through their p.a. system. The Vinyls love music. Listening to music from analogue and digital sources, collecting new and old recordings and performing the tracks live as close to the original recordings as possible. The combination of an extremely talented lead vocalist, the personalities of the band members, their skill and attention to detail and their use of high quality instruments and p.a. system makes the Vinyls a great choice for any event.
