Singer Cathie Rae is one of the rising stars on the current, vibrant Scottish jazz scene and comes highly recommended by singers such as Sheila Jordan, Jay Clayton, Liane Carroll and Scottish vocal jazz veteran Fionna Duncan.

Cathie's past projects include: A Tribute to Chet Baker with BBC jazz award winner 2004 Colin Steele, The Rae Sisters with Gina and Sylvia Rae and Flow Experience with Steve Hamilton and Martin Kershaw. She also has her own sextet which featured some of the best young jazz musicians in Scotland.

She was brought up in the true jazz tradition by father Ronnie, a professional jazz bass player and mother Margaret, a music teacher. She has many influences: Chet Baker, Nancy Wilson, Cannonball Adderly, Nat King Cole and contemporary artists such as Stevie Wonder, Christine Tobin and Ricky Lee Jones.

Cathie Rae is the perfect choice for concerts, product launches, corporate and private functions and commercial events and her line-up can adapt to the following:

Sextet: Voice, sax, guitar, piano, bass and drums.

Quintet: Voice, trumpet, piano, bass and drums.

Quartet: Voice, trumpet, piano and bass.

Trio: Voice, piano (or guitar) and bass or voice, sax and piano.
