2016 here we go!

Happy 2016 everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely festive period and recharged your batteries for the coming year. As January is a quieter time of year for weddings, the band have been using the time off to take a breather and get prepped for what we hope will be our busiest year yet. We will have to go some to beat last year though as we travelled all over the country playing for well over a hundred weddings! What a great time we had as well, so thank you to all of our clients from 2015 who made us feel so welcome on their special days and danced the night away.

In preparation for our gigs in 2016 we have been working hard on updating our set list with new songs and so far things are sounding great. We’ve been rehearsing everything from some 70s disco classics to a couple of songs that were released within the last couple of months and are really looking forward to letting you hear the new repertoire! Also we are putting the finishing touches on a new ceilidh track for the Music For Scotland website so we hope to be able to let you hear this soon as well, keep your eyes peeled for an update on our Facebook page!

Next week we will be playing at the Music For Scotland showcase at the Classic Grand in Glasgow so this will be a chance for those of you who have booked the band(or are thinking about booking the band) to come and hear us play. We will be on last on the night and will be sticking around after we’ve played for anyone that wants to come and have a chat with us. If you’re unable to make the showcase we do have a pub gig coming up at Finnegan’s Wake in Edinburgh on the 4th of March where you can see us play for a bit longer and sample a bit more of the live atmosphere. We’re quite excited about this one as we rarely have time to play pub gigs anymore and we’re looking forward to a fun night!
