We booked kickback without knowing a whole lot about them but liking their music on this website. Right from the outset they were flexible and helpful on timings and the type of music they could include. The wedding included people of all ages and with very different music tastes, but the band soon had the whole marquee dancing and really enjoying the music. The music was tight and professional and all the guests were blown away by it. I would also like to thank music for Scotland for all their help and advice.

First and foremost, they were absolutely amazing and we the perfect complement to our special day. All interactions were friendly, positive and they offered great peace of mind for us that they would take care of all of our musical needs. In terms of the performance itself, they are easily one of the best wedding bands I have seen. Many of our guests said the same, and we had quite a few musicians in attendance. They read the atmosphere of the room perfectly and knew when to increase energy levels and when to give people a breather. I cannot recommend this band highly enough. They learned our first dance song and kicked its ass. They took requests, interacted with the guests (loved the impromptu conga!!!) and genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves. The guys read the crowd and played accordingly (a lot of rock fans) The dance floor was full the whole night and all our guests said they felt they were at a gig rather than at a wedding. I choose this band as I was guest at a previous wedding and again the dancefloor was full with a great atmosphere. Richard was in touch prior to the wedding to go through the run of the day and to take any notes on what not and what to play. The whole process was easy, the band are reliable, pleasant and fun. Kickback were amazing! I have been to a few weddings with live bands and can honestly say they are the best I've ever heard. Many of guests loves them too and were regularly commenting throughout the night about how much they loved them. The band members were efficient at setting up and very professional. He made us feel as though it was an honour to perform for our wedding and made us feel special and not just another couple at another wedding. Kickback we're fantastic, Richard emailed, text and phoned me before the event to discuss various things and get a better idea of what we wanted. He was so lovely, easy to talk to and made us feel reassured that everything would go perfectly... And it did! They helped create such a great, fun atmosphere and even learnt some ceilidh music so they could play it live for us. I booked Kickback for my sons wedding at Craigsanquhar hotel, I contacted Richard who was great to deal with and nothing was too much trouble for them, the bride gave a list of songs from their playlist, and her Aunty also contacted Richard as the bride wanted her to sing with them for her first dance again this was no problem for them to organise, my husband and I attended the showcase in Edinburgh and met Richard who was absolutely Lovely and went over things face to face, then he phoned me two nights before the wedding to go over things once again, on the night everybody commented on how good Kickback were and the dance floor was always full, before leaving the premises the band spoke to myself, husband and bride and groom, they are so professional and genuinely lovely guys.

Unbelievable!! The best wedding band we have ever heard! Everyone has been asking who the band were since the wedding. Richard is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He went out his way to learn our first dance song and also got 2 of our guests to play along with the band once he learned they could play the fiddle. We got married on Saturday 6th April, at Craigsanquhar House, and had Kickback Acoustic for our Drinks Reception and Kickback for our Evening Reception. We honestly cannot rate the band enough! Richard was so helpful from the minute we contacted him, offered to learn songs at our request, and put us at ease straight away. On the day, Kickback Acoustic played a variety of different songs during the Drinks Reception, and our guests kept commenting on how good they were, we were so glad we decided to book Kickback during the day, as well as at night! After the meal, Richard and the guys set up for the reception very quickly and were ready for our First Dance within plenty time! They played song after song continuously until our Buffet, and then again after, and the dancefloor was never empty! Each song flowed so well with the next, and we couldn’t believe how good Kickback were. We requested a few songs to be played on the night, and Richard and the guys learnt ‘You’re Not Nineteen Forever’ by The Courteeners for us, and their rendition of it was absolutely amazing – we can’t stop rewatching videos from the night! Every person we have spoken to since the wedding has commented on and asked the name of the band and have said Kickback are the best band they have heard, and we completely agree! Kickback we’re without doubt superb, all of guests were buzzing at the end of the evening and asking who they were. Everyone of our guests got up dancing and the band kept the dance floor filled all evening and we all had great fun trying to keep up with the Ceilidh.
