The Strides done an amazing job at our wedding. The music suited all ages and everyone was up dancing! I would recommend them to any bride or groom who were after a really amazing band! They done an amazing job! Can't wait to see them again when my wedding is on TV for Four Weddings!

The Strides played at our wedding on the 17th of October 2010 in Aberdeen and they were unbelievable! The crowd went wild for them!They played a variety of music including a Ceilidh section at the start and towards the end there was a bit of audience participation which was hilarious. They took requests and provided music on i pod whilst they were on their breaks. Most of the guests at the wedding were late 20s so it was essential that we had a modern band that played up to date music. The band had a laugh with the guests while remaining professional. They were friendly, easy to talk to and they even enjoyed a drink in the bar with us after the night was over. We couldn't have asked for any more and would love to see them again sometime. We have had friends say that they will want them for their weddings in the future! Thanks a lot guys...it wouldn't have been the same without you.

The Strides were in touch with us prior to our wedding to go over our music selection. Our first dance was a song they didn't play but they made the arrangements to have the song play on their iPod. All the band members were very professional and performed to our expectations. They really had everyone on their feet dancing all night and during their breaks they played songs on their iPod which everyone enjoyed. They were friendly with all of our guests and even played an encore for us. All of our guests, young and old, commented on how much they enjoyed the band. The Strides were absolutely fantastic!!! We hadn't seen them perform before the day and made the choice based on the on-line video, which we thought was a little risky but we were not disappointed. Colin and co. were outstanding and well worth the money. It seemed like quite a lot initially but with hindsight, worth every last penny. All our guests have been raving about them and i'm sure they will be hired by friends who have weddings coming up in the next couple of years. Their song choices were spot on and had old and young dancing all night. I'm sorry I never got a chance to thank them in person at the end of the night but please pass on a MASSIVE thank you. The Strides were a pleasure to deal with during the preparations for our wedding. And, more importantly, they really delivered on the night! We received so much positive feedback about them from our guests. Even my mum, who wanted a ceilidh only, said that they were great! It was a shame that we weren't able to enjoy EVERY song, but we had to do a bit of mingling with our guests. We wish that the videographer had stayed around for the whole evening, so we could see the bits we missed. However, we're already planning to address this by arranging a night out to one of their future performances!

The band for our wedding was an important decision for us and one of the first that we made. We liked the samples of The Strides on the website and their repertoire looked to be just right, providing a mix that could appeal to all our guests, without including anything that either of us wouldn't have been keen on. After fruitlessly searching for some time at the start of the year for a wedding band for peak wedding season in July, I found the Strides on the Music for Scotland website. It was purely on the basis of the video clips and the fact that they were available that I went ahead and booked. We had no time to go and listen to them beforehand so were really just hoping for the best! Communication with Chris was excellent and we had a truly fantastic night with the dance floor filled the entire time. Everyone danced their socks off as their choice of music absolutely perfect. Despite the fact it was mid-heatwave and the temperature ridiculous they kept playing and we just kept on dancing!! They made a great job of our first dance and my new husband was blown away later that night by their version of the Smiths' "There is a light that never goes out" which they learned specially for me to surprise him and his Uni pals, all massive Smiths fans. So many people came up to say how good the band were and I would highly recommend them!! Wish we could do it all over again. We loved every minute of our wedding day and the reception at the Oran Mor with the Strides playing helped to make it unforgettable!
