Our caterer and coordinator recommended the vinyls to us, and we could not have been happier - they MADE our wedding for us, and I'm not exaggerating. We had 200 people in a tent at a private estate at fingask castle. Richard from music for scotland coordinates all the bands personally - you can email him or call him at any hour and he is always attentive, professional, and knows what he's doing. The band was incredible - each musician an artist, the singer was GREAT, and I swear, I'd never have thought that a wedding band could go from Nat King Cole, to the Stones, to U2, to The kings of Leon in one set, but they did and everything was amazing. We had the time of our lives because of this band. They're wonderful - hire them - they are worth every penny. There are only two things you need for a great wedding, alcohol, and a killer band - these guys will get you 50% of the way there.

The vinyls were the absolutely perfect band for my wedding! The only direction I provided them was that I wanted my guests on the dance floor all night long! the vinyls did just that! They played music for everybody, and for every age group. The compliments I received from my guests on the band choice ranged from everything to: "They played every song so well, it sounded like the CD!" and "There were times where I would go to sit down, and I'd get right back up again". I would recommend the vinyls to any bride for a wedding celebration!

Well, what can i say.... The Vinyl's are brilliant! Normally folk comment about how good a 'wedding band' are, however one of the greatest compliments we can offer is that The Vinyl's are one of the best bands that we have heard. All our guests have been raving about how note and word perfect they were the whole night. They judged the atmosphere perfectly and had the dance floor rocking all night with a mix of old and modern upbeat music! I also must say that their down to earth attitude and willingness to suffer our crazy dancing and singing and let us participate in the odd song really made the night! We honestly had the most amazing day and The Vinyl's just topped it off perfectly. Since our wedding at least one of the guests have since booked them for their wedding, which is a great compliment to their performance.

Fabulous from start to finish, couldnt have asked for a better band to top off a perfect day! We had left booking the wedding band late and were worried we wouldnt find a good band so late in the day. We booked The Vinyls purely on hearing their demos on the Music for Scotland site, then attended the showcase to see them perfrom live, we werent disappointed!! It was good to see them perform alongside the other bands we had liked and know that we had made the right choice. We gave the band little direction and they put the right mix of music together and worked great with Calum Marwick (also Music for Scotland) to slot in a cracking Ceilidh set. We gave the guys short notice to learn our first dance (Al Green Lets stay together) and it was perfect, we even got a reprise at the end of the night. We had also asked Peter at short notice if he was able to fit in a classical number as we had been impressed by his singing at the showcase, again he obliged and did two numbers which were excellent. There have been many fantastic comments from the guests re the band being spot on. Peter - re your classical solo slot, we know its a bit late now but the guests said they hadnt really appreciated what they had heard at the time but that you should have had a standing ovation at the end of your solo, so Peter take a bow! Kevin made the process very easy, the band were a delight. We have passed on "The Vinyls" name to a number of prospective brides :) in the meantime.

Despite having amazing sunshine on our wedding day, the band were able to keep people in the marquee dancing all night. The band were really accommodating in playing a first dance song that was not on their original playlist, allowing my father to join them on stage with his harmonica and also providing a ceilidh set. Any additional requests were met. A charming and charasmatic band.I heard them previously at a Music for Scotland event. The band sounded even better the second time I heard them. From our initial contact when we requested the group learn our first dance (which was no problem) to them arriving on site we had no issues at all. We chose the Vinyls for our daughter's wedding after seeing them at the showcase. We knew we had made the right choice when we experienced their full show at the Glynhill Hotel. They absolutely blew the place apart! EVERYONE was talking about them and we were asked by a few people how we booked them. All of the tables were empty for the entire night because everyone was up on the dance floor. They played the songs which our daughter had particularly asked for and she was delighted. The crucial point was, though, that THEY seemed to be enjoying the evening and this was transmitted to the guests. They performed with a smile on their faces! When I spoke to, and thanked them individually at the end, they all said how great a night it was and how everyone danced all night. We can't thank them enough for making it the best party we've ever had and for making Leanne and Gordon's reception such an overwhelming success. The Vinyls were simply outstanding. The dance floor was packed from start to finish and they instantly got a feel for the crowd and what tunes to keep the party pumping. Fantastic from start to finish. Kevin is a good, clear and quick communicator and the band arrived with plenty time to set up, made a big effort to play all the songs we requested, any that were not on their repoirtoir they played on a playlist while they were on a break. ALSO, unbenown to me they helped organise a surprise song that my brother played on the guitar and sung. They were a great support when needed while he was singing, helping him sing into the mike and joining in where necessary. Apparently he had been in co tact with them for months but I had NO idea. Great singers, great people. Very happy. Can definitely recommend them, fantastic energy.
