The Strides

Chris and the guys for put on such a good set at our wedding. We can't thank them enough. Countless people have commented on how good the band were, and we've now passed on a few recommendations/more info to people who are getting married next year. We are so delighted that we chose The Strides - they are such nice, friendly people and their music and performance can't be faulted.

After fruitlessly searching for some time at the start of the year for a wedding band for peak wedding season in July, I found the Strides on the Music for Scotland website. It was purely on the basis of the video clips and the fact that they were available that I went ahead and booked. We had no time to go and listen to them beforehand so were really just hoping for the best! Communication with Chris was excellent and we had a truly fantastic night with the dance floor filled the entire time. Everyone danced their socks off as their choice of music absolutely perfect. Despite the fact it was mid-heatwave and the temperature ridiculous they kept playing and we just kept on dancing!! They made a great job of our first dance and my new husband was blown away later that night by their version of the Smiths' "There is a light that never goes out" which they learned specially for me to surprise him and his Uni pals, all massive Smiths fans. So many people came up to say how good the band were and I would highly recommend them!! Wish we could do it all over again. We loved every minute of our wedding day and the reception at the Oran Mor with the Strides playing helped to make it unforgettable!

The strides were fantastic, made the night and had the hall really going. Nice guys, very talented and a pleasure to deal with. The set list was great and perfect for our crowd, the 20 minute ceilidh section right after the buffet break was really well done and set the second half of the night up perfectly. Can’t speak highly enough of them, second time I have seen them at a wedding (they did my brothers in July 2016) and both times they have delivered a great night. Almost every guest commented them and I’ve even been approached since the wedding by people who weren’t there who have said they had heard it was a great night with a fantastic band!
